Phil McConnell


Phil has over 40 years of extensive experience in the aviation industry, ranging from general aviation management to the development of international express freight operations.

In his previous roles, Phil was the Airport General Manager at Moorabbin airport, the director of the Australian Airports Association (AAA) and an Aviation Manager for DHL Worldwide.  While he was the director at AAA, Phil was closely involved with multiple Senate Enquiries on issues including aircraft noise engagement, location specific airspace pricing and emergency planning.

Phil has developed a number of successful community consultation strategies for a number of airport master plans where he was responsible for resolving critical issues with individuals and groups affected by aircraft noise. He is also experienced in terrorism and aircraft accident crisis management situations.
