About

Peter was a member of the Nestle Australia senior leadership team for almost 20 years and played a key role in the engagement of the company’s key external stakeholders. Significantly, Peter directed the company’s issues and crisis management strategies, including those associated with Infant Feeding, Child labour, Obesity, Palm Oil and Stem Cell Research. This involved a range of organisations such as Greenpeace, Oxfam, WorldVision, World Wildlife Fund, The Uniting Church and the Australian Breastfeeding Association. He also led Nestlé’s communication and government relations strategy for numerous acquisition, merger, divestment and restructuring initiatives for the past 20 years.

 

Given the nature of his role as well as his long-term commitment to the broader industry, Peter was very active in a range of industry organisations and professional bodies. This included roles such as Chairman of the Board of the Infant Nutrition Council; A Board member of the United Nations Global Compact Network Australia; a long-term member of Australian Food and Grocery Council’s Corporate Affairs Committee.

 

Peter maintains an active interest in community organisations and is a Board Member of Foodbank NSW, and a member of the Australian Indigenous Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board.

 

He lives in Sydney, aspires to play good golf.
